Precautions for using electronic balances

Four points to pay attention to when using electronic balances Four points to pay attention to when using electronic balances. First, preheat in advance. The electronic balance usually needs to be preheated before use, and the preheating time of each balance is often different, in general, the higher the accuracy level of the balance, the longer the required preheating time, can be preheated according to the requirements of the balance instruction manual, if necessary, the preheating time can be extended (usually the lower the ambient temperature, the longer the preheating time). In fact, many users are ready to use the day, which cannot guarantee the measurement performance of the balance. Therefore, the preheating of the electronic balance is the key to accuracy. The second is environmental conditions. Environmental conditions are also an important factor affecting the measurement performance of electronic balances. If no special temperature limit is specified in the operating instruction manual of the electronic balance, the balance should work normally under the temperature condition of -10℃~40℃; If a special temperature limit is specified, the balance shall operate at the specified temperature conditions; The electronic balance also has requirements for the humidity of the environment, such as the relative humidity of the grade I balance is not more than 80%. The third is the horizontal state. Generally, high-precision electronic balances are equipped with level adjustment devices and levelers, and the level state of the balance should be checked frequently in use. In fact, some users often ignore the check of the level of the balance (electronic balance due to movement or other reasons, often cause uneven or uneven corners, etc.), which is also the main reason for the inaccurate balance data. The fourth is to calibrate at any time. Some people believe that electronic balances are accurate within the validity period after periodic verification, and often ignore the importance of calibration, or even do not carry out calibration. As everyone knows, electronic balances in use due to changes in environmental conditions, human and other factors, the measurement performance will often change slightly, which requires us to calibrate it in daily use. So, how do we calibrate? Electronic balances should be calibrated daily or before each use, and the frequency of calibration can be increased if necessary. The weight used for calibration, in theory, the higher the grade, the better, the weight error should generally be selected not greater than 1/3 of the maximum allowable error of the balance, and it should be regularly sent to the quality supervision department for inspection, if the error is found to exceed the standard, it should be sent to the quality supervision department for testing in time to avoid loss.
